Sally

I had one tooth missing on top and it made me feel very uncomfortable. I was self-conscious about my smile and would find myself putting my tongue over the open space when I laughed and even when I talked. I had a permanent 3-tooth bridge added and NOW , I can laugh and smile to my heart's content.

I had a wide gap between my two front teeth, which made me very self conscious. I developed an infection in one of my front teeth and had to have it pulled. With the gap and one tooth missing it was like having both front teeth gone. I had a permanent bridge put in the front and no more gap. I am learning to smile all over again.

London's Peter de la Roche is believed to be one of the first 'Operators for the Teeth', men who fashioned themselves as specialists in dental work. Often these men were professional goldsmiths, ivory turners or students of barber-surgeons.
